# Deploy Calagopus with Easypanel

Calagopus is a modern open-source game server management panel built in Rust and React. It is a high-performance reimplementation of Pterodactyl Panel featuring a refreshed UI, an extensible plugin architecture, and container-based game server management. It supports Pterodactyl-compatible eggs and migration from existing Pterodactyl or Pelican installations.

## Installation notes

After deployment, navigate to the provided domain. An out-of-box experience (OOBE) wizard will guide you through creating the initial admin account and configuration. Do not change the APP_ENCRYPTION_KEY environment variable after initial setup, as it is used to encrypt all stored secrets.
