# Deploy TimescaleDB with Easypanel

TimescaleDB is an open-source time-series database optimized for fast ingest and complex queries. It is built on top of PostgreSQL and provides automatic partitioning across time and space, making it ideal for IoT, monitoring, analytics, and other time-series data applications. It offers native time-series functionality while maintaining the reliability and flexibility of PostgreSQL.

## Installation notes

After deployment, connect to TimescaleDB using your app domain on port 5432 with username `postgres`, password set in Database Password, and database `postgres`; for example, `psql "postgresql://postgres:<YOUR_PASSWORD>@<YOUR_DOMAIN>:5432/postgres"`; TimescaleDB is PostgreSQL-compatible, so any PostgreSQL client or ORM can use the same connection details.
