Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Easypanel handles personal information when you visit our websites, create an account, buy or manage a license, contact support, or otherwise use our online services.
The standard Easypanel product is self-hosted. It runs on infrastructure you control, and this policy does not make us the controller of personal information inside the applications or databases you deploy. We do not receive that content merely because you use Easypanel.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Easypanel, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider, team membership, and authentication and session records.
- Purchase and license information: plan, billing status, license key details, server or activation count, and transaction metadata provided by our payment partner. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Support and feedback: messages, attachments, feature requests, comments, and other information you choose to send us.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, requested pages, referrer, cookie data, and security or diagnostic logs.
- Website usage information: aggregated or pseudonymous information about how visitors find and use our public website.
Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from services you choose to connect. Those services may include Google for sign-in and analytics and Lemon Squeezy for purchases and license management.
If a team owner invites you, we may receive your email address from that person. If you contact us through a community or support channel, we receive the information included with that request.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide accounts, teams, licenses, support, and requested features;
- process purchases and maintain subscription records;
- authenticate users and protect Easypanel from fraud and abuse;
- diagnose problems and improve our website, software, and support;
- send service messages and respond to requests;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, compliance with law, or your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Retention depends on the type of record and may extend while your account or subscription is active, while a support request remains relevant, or as required for tax, accounting, dispute, security, and legal obligations.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in protected backups.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for securing the infrastructure where you install Easypanel. If you believe your account or information is at risk, contact us at [email protected].
International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information may be retained where the law permits or requires it.
Children
Easypanel is intended for adults and organizations, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally consent to its processing. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it when appropriate.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the new version here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when a change is material.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected]. For the rules that govern use of the Services, see our Terms of Service.
